Laptop Policy

This Laptop Policy (“Policy”) is effective as of policy_effective_date, and is entered into by and between:

Company:

company_name, with its principal place of business at company_address, registered under number company_registration_number, represented by company_representative (company_representative_title), hereinafter referred to as “Company”;

and

Employee:

employee_full_name, residing at employee_address, hereinafter referred to as “Employee”;

Collectively referred to as the “Parties.”

Use of Laptop

1. Ownership

The laptop provided to the Employee, including any associated accessories (such as chargers), remains the exclusive property of the Company.

1.2 Permitted Use

The Employee agrees to use the provided laptop solely for work-related purposes and in full compliance with the Company’s policies and guidelines.

1.3 Prohibited Actions

The Employee shall not misuse, alter, or damage the laptop. This includes, but is not limited to, installing unauthorized software or making modifications that could compromise the functionality or security of the laptop.

1.4 Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights arising from work performed by the Employee using the laptop shall remain the exclusive property of the Company.

Return of the Laptop

2.1 Return Obligation

Upon termination of employment, whether voluntary or involuntary, the Employee agrees to return the laptop in a fair-use condition, free from damage beyond normal wear and tear.

2.2 Return Process

The laptop, along with all associated accessories, must be returned to the Company’s designated representative on or before the Employee’s last working day.

2.3 Non-Return or Damage

If the laptop is not returned in a fair-use condition as determined solely by the Company, the Company reserves the right to deduct the equivalent new-value amount from the Employee’s final paycheck or to seek additional compensation.
